" Turn around Churches"

Rebuilding faltering Churches is a hard job but it despertely needs to be done. some try to over simplyify rebuilding a Church. People often read a book and say yes this is easy let us do it now! when in reality you can start a new Church easier. The work is very difficult to do. you cannot just say it and make it happen. Just giving the people a string of to do's will not get it done. The work must be tryed and tested before it can be incorperated into a Church. Every thing must be done on a tryal basis, that is because the area where the Church is is probally not the same as it was 20 years or so ago. that is usually the reason the Church faltered in the first place. To rebuild a Church the pastor and congregation must be in agreementas to what needs to be done. and even if they are it may take several years to do it.... What do you think? More later. 1. Turning around churches seems to me to have more to do with the members than the neighborhood. A one voice church (same person makes all the motions), a church member who acts as the pastor and the pastor just preaches and no one follows his leadership or just a lack of a forgivingf spirit. Problems like these must be corrected before a faltering church can be turned around.

  2. Don't buy into the idea that it is easier to start a new church as opposed to lead an existing one into revival. Both are very tall orders to fill, but at least with the existing church, you already have a core group, facilities and prospects for future members.

I do agree with Arch Bishop though. A congregation that is rebellious against the pastor, pride and unforgiving attitudes will render even the best intentioned pastor ineffective.
