I have been studying the seven Churches af Asia, Rev. chpt. 2&3. My question is how much of this applys to Churches today? My personal observation is that all of it can and does. What do you say? Just looking for information.
Yes, all of it applies with lessons for us today. These seven churches were historical, but are also typical of the kinds of churches we have today. One might look like an "Ephesus", another a "Smyrna" and still another a "Laodicea".
I am Pastor of Heritage Baptist church and have been for 29 years. Married to my lovely wife for 52 years. I am a graduate from Texas Baptist Institute and Seminary in Henderson Texas.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Bro. Vaughn. I guess that's why they are great revival or getting-ready-for revival sermons.
ReplyDeleteI too agree with these guys.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the view that each church represents a period in church history--that each type of church was predominant in a certain period?
